The
Rocks Title History!
WWF
Champion!
1.
At the
1998 Survivor Series, The Rock went through four men -- Big Boss Man, Ken
Shamrock, Undertaker and Mankind -- to win his first World Wrestling Federation
Championship. He won it in large part due to Mr. McMahon, as The Rock became the
Corporate Champion.
2.
The
Rock won his second World Wrestling Federation Championship at the 1999 Royal
Rumble, defeating Mankind in an "I Quit" match. Rocky's second title
reign would be one of the shortest ever -- just two days later, Mankind regained
the title in an Empty Arena Match during Halftime Heat.
3.
The
Rock won his first three Federation Championships from Mankind. The third title
win came on the Feb. 15, 1999, episode of RAW, in a Ladder Match. Mankind seemed
poised to win the match, but when the Big Show chokeslammed him off the ladder,
Rocky was able to grab the gold.
4.
After
losing the Federation Championship at WrestleMania XV, it took The Rock 13
months to regain the gold, finally defeating Triple H at Backlash 2000. The Rock
was helped somewhat by Stone Cold Steve Austin, whose appearance helped to
negate the interference of the McMahon/Helmsley Faction.
5.
The
Rock won his fifth Federation Championship in the most unconventional of
methods. Teaming with Kane and the Undertaker against Shane McMahon, Vince
McMahon and Federation Champion Triple H at the 2000 King of the Ring, Rock
pinned Vince McMahon to win the Game's title.
6.
The
Rock has been called a blue-chipper since the day he stepped into the World
Wrestling Federation. At No Way Out 2001, The Rock added to his legacy, becoming
the first-ever six-time World Wrestling Federation Champion. The People's
Champion defeated Kurt Angle to win the title!
Who
knows how many more times the rock will win the wwf title just wait and see!
Intercontinental
Champion!
1.
Barely
three months into his "rookie season," Rocky Maivia shocked the world
by capturing the Intercontinental Championship from Hunter Hearst Helmsley on
RAW! Some fans said it was too much too soon -- but Rocky's three-months reign
proved that this win was no fluke!
2.
On the
Dec. 8, 1997, episode of RAW, Mr. McMahon forced Stone Cold Steve Austin to
defend his Intercontinental Championship against The Rock. Austin refused,
saying he would defend the title only when he wanted to. As a result, Mr.
McMahon forced Austin to forfeit his championship to The Rock!
WWF
Tag Team Champions!
1.
Teaming
with the most unlikely of partners -- former enemy Mankind -- The Rock won his
first Tag Team Championship on the Aug. 30, 1999, episode of RAW, toppling
Undertaker and Big Show for the titles. Rock and Mankind won the match with a
double People's Elbow!
2.
The
Rock and Mankind won their second Tag Team Championship in a "Dark Side
Rules" bout, as Mideon and Viscera took the place of the Undertaker,
teaming with the Big Show in the bout! But even the "Dark Side Rules"
were no match for the Rock-n-Sock Connection, and The Rock & Mankind were
champs again!
3.
It was
supposed to be the last match ever for the Rock-n-Sock Connection. Instead, The
Rock and Mankind defeated the New Age Outlaws on the Oct. 14, 1999, episode of
SmackDown! to become three-time Tag Team Champions. Their reign would be very
shortlived -- they lost the titles to the Hollys the following week on RAW.
4.
The
Rock's fourth reign as Tag Team Champion came with the Undertaker as his
partner. On the Dec. 18, 2000, episode of RAW, the duo defeated Edge &
Christian to win the titles. But their reign ended that very Thursday on
SmackDown!, when E&C cheated their way to the championship.
