The Rocks Life By Kim Stenhouse (kimzie_123@hotmail.com)

The Rock is the best wrestler in the world.
He is a six time WWF champion. The Rocks Real name is Dwayne Johnson.
He was born on the 2nd of May 1972 in Hayward, California which will make him 29 this year.
The Rock used to be a professional American football player.
He used to play for the Miami Hurricanes number 94 the best on the team.
His father was an professional wrestler called Rocky Johnson which is also his real name.
His grandfather was a professional wrestler called High Chief Peter Maivia, Peter
Maivia being his real name. The Rock used to be called Flex Kavana, then he was called
Rocky Maivia and finally The Rock.
He married his wife Dany on the 3rd of May 1997 and they have been happy ever since.
At the age of 8 The Rock would go to wrestling matches to see his father and grandfather fight
he was amused
by the way it would look so real but he knew it was fake. His mother was the real Rock of the
family as she had to worry about all three of them getting hurt but even thought she didn’t
want her son to wrestle she supported him all the way.
When The Rock first asked to join the business his father was reluctant but set him up in one
of the local gym The Rocks coach was called Beau Moore and was a really
strict coach at that (but it paid of in the end). After a lot of intense training The
Rock called the WWF and arranged an interview with one of the bosses sidekicks
Pat Patterson who said he would come down that Saturday. When Pat came in The Rock showed him a preview
of his work and Pat liked what he saw so he put him forward to the boss (Vince McMahon)
and would get back to him if anything opened. A couple of days later The Rock got a phone
call telling him he was going to be on a small show. Since The Rock was not planning on this
he had no gear so The Rock borrowed a pair of his Grandfathers trunks, a pair of boots and
some protective gear and went of to become a wrestler.
The Rock became one of the populist wrestlers in the WWF and became known for his million dollar shirts and shoes and of course his catchphrases which include:
1. Know your role and shut your mouth.
2. If ya smell what The Rock is cookin.
3. It doesn’t matter what your name is.
4. Just bring it.
5. Millions and millions of The Rocks fans .
And there’s plenty more but it would take years to write
them all down.
One of his good friends is Mick Foley who was a legend
in the WWF he got retired by HHH in a Hell in the cell match but
came back to be the commissioner which was pretty cool. Mick
Foley also known as Mankind was the other half of the Rock
and Sock connection and they became the tag team champions
numerous times. When Mick Foley got fired for good The Rock
wasn’t pleased he tried everything to get him back but he did not
succeed so The Rock lost one of his good friend because
of his worst enemy HHH.
The Rocks war with HHH will never end some matches will never
be forgotten like his ladder match for the WWF
intercontinental belt and his iron man match
for the WWF title. Now that The Rock has the
belt HHH will be in face trying to take it
of him but he won’t succeed cause The Rock
just to good for him.
Stone Cold Steve Austin is The Rocks best
friend and if the two are fighting against
each other the match is sure to be explosive
and since wrestleMania is the biggest event
of the year the Austin vs. The Rock is the
obvious choice of a main event. The Rock
and Austin are on the same page, they both
hate the McMahon’s and they are both popular.
Owen Heart who died in a tragic accident
was another one of The Rocks closest friends.
The first match The Rock had was against Owen Heart and it was a
funny match. Owen had a fake cast on his arm and The Rock thought it
was real so he didn’t touch it but Owen burst out laughing and told
The Rock that the arm with the cast was the one The Rock was supposed
to hurt. After the match ended they had good laugh and The Rock thinks
Owen was the funniest man that lived and when he got the news about
the death The Rock couldn’t go through with his match.
The rock has a hectic schedule which goes something like this:
12:00 noon-Drive to Miami airport.
1:30 p.m.-Flight leaves for destination.
4:00 p.m.-Arrive at destination.
6:30 p.m.-Arrive at arena.
7:30 p.m.-Food.
8:00 p.m.-Match preparation.
8:30 p.m.-Suiting up.
9:00 p.m.-Getting pumped.
9:15 p.m.-Showtime!!!.
9:45 p.m.-Analysis.
10:30 p.m.-Departure.
11:00 p.m.-Food.
12:30 p.m.-Car fuel.
1:00 a.m.-Tube and talk.
6:00 a.m.-Wake up call!!!.
Now that’s what you a schedule.
The Rock has a tattoo on his right arm it is a face of a bull which
he calls The Brahma Bull or the symbol of greatness. I included a
picture at the end of this essay.
The Rock is also known as the peoples champion as the biggest majority
of fans like him. When he is getting interviewed you will hear the
fans in the background chanting "Rocky, Rocky, Rocky" and when he
finishes he usually says "If ya smelllllllllllllll what The Rock is
Cookin!!" and his music hits.
" March 28, 1999 (Philadelphia, PA)-The Rock says he can hear them
out there, 21,000 strong . . . 21,000 screaming, rabid fans, the
best damn fans in the world. They’re chanting his name, over and
over, with so much fire and passion that the First Union Center is
shaking and shimmying. Philly feels like Frisco in 1906. We’re at the
epicenter of a quake here, and The Rock is the reason why. Adrenaline
rushes through his powerful body like a rain-swollen river, feeding
his muscles . . . His nerves . . . With fuel for the fight. As he
stands behind the curtain, waiting for his cue, The Rock knows this
is his moment . . . The moment he’s worked for, sacrificed for . . .
The moment so many have dreamt about, and so few have experienced . . . The moment he deserves.
The Rock stands ready-poised, primed, primped, and pumped-for the
biggest ever event in sports entertainment: WrestleMania!
The music hits-"DO YOU SMELL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKING?"-and 21,000
Rock fans, along with the millions . . . and millions of The Rocks
fans watching at home, leap to attention. The noise is deafening as
the crowd salutes the most electrifying man in sports-entertainment.
The Rock split’s the curtain to a blinding strobe show, a shifting,
shimmering sea of flashbulbs. Everyone wants a piece of The Rock!
A five by seven reminder of the night The Great One made history.
Who can blame them? There’s never been anyone like The Rock, and
there never will be again.
Looking like the Federation Champion that he is, The Rock strolls
confidently down the aisle, walking as only The Rock can walk, a big
old chip on one shoulder, the World Wrestling Federation Championship
belt over the other. With his sculpted physique, honey-brown
complexion, and razor-trimmed sideburns, and a piercing gaze,
The Rock looks like a million bucks-which is appropriate, since
that’s exactly what The People’s Champion will earn for his evening’s
labour. To a normal man that might seem like a lot of money but to
The Rock . . . It’s chump change. The Rock is a bargain at this
price. And he knows it. There’s a reason that this event,
WrestleMania XV, will be remembered as the greatest night in the
history of professional wrestling. There’s a reason it will
shatter box office records. There’s a reason many will call it the
single most enthralling, captivating, mesmerizing match in the
annals of WrestleMania. There’s a reason . . . And that reason is
clear.
The Rock! The World Wrestling Champion . . . The People’s Champion . . . The best damn champion
there ever was.
The Rock enters the ring to an ear-splitting roar. With malice
in his heart and malevolence on his mind, he turns to face the
curtain. His opponent appears. The Rock’s eyes are locked on his.
At this moment The Rock’s intensity is second to none. Within minutes
the battle will be joined, and The Rock will commence laying the
smack down on this man . . . This jabroni. His name is Stone Cold
Steve Austin, and his candy ass belongs to The Rock!.
The Rock has made numerous appearances on talk shows and programs
such as 3rd rock from the sun. He was at the MTV music awards and
has made a song called it doesn’t matter with Wycliff Jean. He was
also at Wall street kicking some jabroni bear butt. The Rock will
be starring in the upcoming movie The Mummy Returns and probably
more appearances later on in the year.
The Rock took the World Wrestling Federation Championship belt
from Kurt Angle at No Way Out and proved once again he is the
best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be.
